About us

Helmholtz Zentrum München is the German Research Center for Environmental Health. We investigate chronic diseases which develop from the interaction of environmental factors and individual genetic predisposition.

• We combine biomedical and environmental research.
• We place emphasis on excellent basic research, experimental platforms, clinical cooperation groups, and centers for translational medicine. Here we collaborate with Munich universities and with other leading national and international institutions.
