We perform epidemiologic research in the fields of environment, health and genetics
Please note:
The main aim of Epidemiology at the Helmholtz Zentrum München is to examine the role of environmental factors and genetic predisposition on human health by the use of epidemiological methods. Research is conducted in cooperation with the Institute of Medical Information Processing, Biometrics and Epidemiology at Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich.
Until the end of 2010 Epidemiology was organized in one institute. Since 2011 the following four separate institutes have been formed, which are closely collaborating under the roof of the Department of Epidemiology (under construction).
- Institute of Epidemiology I (EPI I)
- Institute of Epidemiology II (EPI II)
- Institute of Genetic Epidemiology (IGE)
- Research Unit of Molecular Epidemiology (AME)
Until the completion of a website of the Department of Epidemiology the previous website of the Institute of Epidemiology will still be online:
