Curriculum vitae
- 1993 – 1998: Studies of Environmental Engineering and Medical Technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Jena
- 1998 – 2003: Engineer at the Helmholtz Center Munich - Institute of Epidemiology, Unit of Environmental Epidemiology and the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich
- Since 2004: Engineer at the Helmholtz Center Munich - Institute of Epidemiology, Research Unit of Air Pollution and Health Effects and the Environmental Research Center of the University of Augsburg
- Since 2007: External PhD Study at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, Center of Engineering Technology.
Main activities
- Until 2003 I was responsible for indoor and outdoor measurements of air pollutants in Erfurt and in the Bitterfeld area. I was involved in a number of epidemiological and exposure studies, such as ULTRA I, ULTRA II, ECRHS, EPA-STAR, TRAPCA and the UBA-Diesel study.
- Since 2004 I'm responsible for all outdoor and indoor air pollutant measurements (supervision, development of SOP’s, quality assurance, data preparation and management) in our research group. Primarily I take care of everything necessary associated with the measurement station for comprehensive physical and chemical on-line characterization of fine and ultrafine ambient particles in Augsburg.
Research interests
My research interests are the development and validation of new measurement methods for innovative and future epidemiological and exposure studies. Especially I’m interested in the interpretation of changes of specific particle parameters and new involved characteristics of the complex aerosol mixture.
