The Allergy screen of German Mouse Clinic (GMC) aims to search for IgE mutants in order to establish mouse models for allergic diseases with defined genotypes and to develop new therapeutic and diagnostic strategies against allergic diseases.
|
| Primary Screen |
- Total plasma IgE (Standard allergy parameter) Measurement of total IgE by ELISA technique (Cut-off: 1 ng/ml)
|
| Secondary Screen (10 mutant mice and 10 control mice) |
- Specific sensitisation with model allergens (Ovalbumin, recombinant grass pollen allergen Phl p5)
- Measurement of total IgE and allergen-specific antibody responses by ELISA technique (specific IgE, IgG1, IgG2a)
- Evaluation of allergen-specific T-cell-responses
|
| Tertiary Screen |
- Measurement of bronchial reactivity after inhalative allergen exposure and methacholine challenge
- Analysis of bronchopulmonary inflammatory reaction in bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL)
- Analysis of cellular subpopulations
|
On special request:
- Organ-specific allergic reaction (phenotype)
- Evaluation of dermal allergic reactivity (skin test / active or passive cutaneous anaphylaxis)
