Institute of Molecular Immunology
The research activities of the Institute of Molecular Immunology focus on the boundary between hematology, immunology, oncology and transplantation biology. This is where concepts are developed for modulating the immune system by means of cell and molecular biological methods. New strategies are investigated for immunotherapy and gene therapy for cancer, autoimmune diseases and graft rejections.
