Control of stem cell maintenance and differentiation by microRNAs
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are short RNAs that lead to the degradation of target mRNAs or translational repression of the encoded proteins and regulate processes, such as differentiation, apoptosis, proliferation, and the maintenance of cell and tissue identity. The miRNA and mRNA profiling were used to identify miRNAs and potential mRNA targets during the process of endoderm differentiation. The aim of this project is to investigate the function of those miRNAs in the regulation of stem cell maintenance and differentiation.
