MADEIRA TRAINING COURSES
The MADEIRA Project has organized a series of Training Courses directed to PhD. students and young postdocs who are interested in the field of medical physics and in nuclear medicine applications.
The first Course was held in November 2008 in Italy, under organization of the University of Milano. Topic of this Course was "RADIATION PHYSICS FOR NUCLEAR MEDICINE". Here some news and photos.
The second Course was held from 17 to 20 November 2009 in Sweden, under organization of the University of Lund, Malmö University Hospital. Topic of this Course was "RADIATION PROTECTION IN NUCLEAR MEDICINE". Here some news and photos.
The third Course was held from 5 to 8 October 2010 in Germany, under organization of Helmholtz Zentrum München. Topic of this Course was "IMAGING IN NUCLEAR MEDICINE". Here some news and photos.
MADEIRA BOOK SERIES
Springer Verlag will publish three volumes covering the topics of the MADEIRA Training Courses. The volume on "RADIATION PHYSICS FOR NUCLEAR MEDICINE" was published in 2011, and the volumes on "RADIATION PROTECTION IN NUCLEAR MEDICINE" and "IMAGING IN NUCLEAR MEDICINE" are planned to be issued in 2012.
THIRD MALMÖ CONFERENCE ON MEDICAL IMAGING
The Third Malmö Conference on Medical Imaging was held in Malmö, Sweden, from 25 to 27 June 2009. Professor Sören Mattsson, of the Lund University Hospital, was chairing the Scientific Committee of the Conference, and the whole MADEIRA Consortium actively supported this event.
