Institute of Epidemiology (EPI)

Research in the Institute focuses on methodological problems related to the quantification of small risks, the impact of airborne pollutants on respiratory tract symptoms, and the regional distribution and development of diseases of the respiratory tract and allergies. The main aim is to investigate the different roles of environmental factors and genetic predisposition in human health using epidemiological methods.

The Institute is divided into five research groups:
