Ascenion GmbH
Ascenion GmbH is an agency for intellectual property asset management focused on the life sciences. In co-operation with the Legal & Technology Transfer Departement, Ascenion GmbH helps Helmholtz Zentrum München´s scientists in evaluating the market potential of their research results and developing as well as executing options for an optimal marketing strategy: licensing, cooperation, sale or founding a new company. Ascenion GmbH holds equity in several spin-offs and can thus benefit from corporate growth and future success of these ventures. Revenues from licence agreements or sale of equity are channelled back to the inventors and research institutions.
Ascenion GmbH is a 100% subsidiary of the Life-Science Foundation for the Promotion of Science and Research and exclusive commercialization partner of 13 life-science institutes in the Helmholtz and Leibniz Associations and of Hanover Medical School.
