Head of the group
Volker Bruss (Prof. Dr. rer. nat.) studied microbiology, biochemisty, and mathematics in Marburg and Goettingen. After graduation in the group of Wolfram Gerlich he spent two years as a postdoc in the group of Don Ganem at the University of California in San Francisco. He then established his own group at the University of Goettingen working on the molecular biology of the hepatitis B virus. In 2008 he changed to the Helmholtz Center Munich.
