CATAI Winter Course 2010

ImageThe EFMI WG Medical Image Processing will also this year contribute to the CATAI Winter Course on Image Processing at the University of La Laguna, Tenerife, Canary Islands, organized by Prof. Dr. Olga Ferrer-Rocca.

In the presentation, the WG Chair Prof. Dr. Alexander Horsch will report on DICOM Extensions and Image Query Solutions for Teaching and Training.

The CATAI Winter Course is successfully held for almost two decades with regularly around 100 master students participating. Details and the program can be found on CATAI Winter School 2010

 
Electronic Health Records: EFMI WG 2009/2010

The working group EHR (Electronic Health Records) of EFMI deals with the issue EHR in the different levels of development. Such levels concern the case level, organisational level, regional level, national level, and international level. In that context, the Working Group supports
o studies on specification, implementation, and promotion of standards for EHR,
o the modelling of its architecture and its interoperability, as well as
o the education on that topic.

The COMBIOMED Thematic Network tackles several aspects of Computational Medicine, from basic to applied research, to develop methods and tools to solve scientific problems in biomedicine in the context of personalised medicine. It also plays at the same time a key role in the education of researchers in the field as well as in the training of health professionals and researchers in basic techniques for the management of biomedical information. The Network is funded by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III – RETICS 2007.
