Steven Huesing passed away Print E-mail
ImageThis morning we received the sad message about the death of Steven Huesing on Easter Sunday. Many of us worked with Steven in his function as executive director of IMIA.
We appreciated him as a very dedicated person, who valued the personal touch and thus created and maintained a large network of friends. For many years he has served the Medical Informatics community across the world and contributed to the active involvement of many in the domain of medical informatics, both organisations and persons. His death is a great loss for his family and friends, so to all of us.
We at EFMI will remember him with our own lively memories.

Jacob Hofdijk, president EFMI

Visit the live MIE 2008 blog Print E-mail
ImagePeter Murray from UK and some others are currently blogging MIE 2008 from hi-blogs.info/krew. The blog is informal and is intended to give an impression of the event as it is taking place, bringing a flavor of what is going on to those who are not attending the event. A group of people attending various Health Informatics events, called hi-blogs.info krew, has been providing blogs for a number of years. This is part of experiments with WEB 2.0 applications based on open source software and freely available networking applications. Older blogs from previous events can be found at hi-blogs.info. The live blog applications are open for interactivity, but this function is rarely used for some reason. The hi-blogs.info/krew invites visitors to place comments and use the blogs as an opportunity to share information in an informal way for the benefit of all.
