Goals
Data has been always the basis for decisions and to improve quality in health care. Electronic health record (EHR) is the actual way for storing, communicating and using data for different purposes.
Health information management (HIM) is the domain which has established tools developed in close cooperation with medical informatics and users. The profession of HIM has gained experience to overcome some barriers in daily practice.
The seminar will
• Highlight the way to eHIM (electronic Health Information Management)
• Investigate the needs, opportunities and obstacles for health information management.
• Disseminate results and experiences for practical application
• Facilitate access to tools, supporting systems, educational facilities and EFMI members

”Open Access” for all accepted MEDINFO 2013 papers |
|
|
IMIA decided to make papers accepted for Medinfo2013 available immediately as “Open Access” without an embargo period. Accepted papers will be indexed in PubMed/Medline and published by IOS Press.
Deadline for submission of papers, student papers and posters is December 10, 2012. We welcome your contribution.

Medical Decision Support
Call for submissions full papers ends 31 October 2012
All information about submitting the paper can be found
on the websitewww.STC2013.org
The deadline for posters and short communications is still 15 November 2012.
STC2013 wants to stimulate also submissions with participation of
industry. The conference will consist of two streams: the scientific
stream is about the results of scientific investigations related to the
topic; the application stream will be about experiences with
applications and their evaluation. In the application stream there is
room for presentations by the industry. They will be invited to provide
insight in their products.

Sunny MIE2012 ended |

On August 29th the 24th EFMI MIE conference ended in Pisa with a bright closing ceremony thanking the local organisers, Cristina Mazzoleni and her team and the scientific program committee, John Mantas, his team and the large team of reviewers for the enormous work they did on the traditional EFMI voluntary basis.
The Birthday cake for Jacob Hofdijk was a symbol of the farewell to the Board of both Jacob Hofdijk and Rolf Engelbrecht and a celebration for the change of president from John Mantas to Patrick Weber.
