Scientist / Post-doc for Optoacoustic System Development and Imaging (m/f)
We seek for highly motivated student/fellow for leading a groundbreaking research project in development of optoacoustic microscopy technology for neuroimaging and cardiovascular imaging applications.
Job Description
Your research may involve:
· Development of novel state-of-the-art optoacoustic imaging systems, involving experimental setup development, novel optical and ultrasound design, parallel acquisition systems
· Inverse theory, numerical computation developments, image reconstruction algorithms to support tomography and quantitative data analysis
· Hand-on experimental work involving clinical and small animal imaging
Your Qualifications
One or more from the following:
· Strong background in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering, Physics or related fields
· Knowledge and practical experience with ultrasound hardware, control hardware and imaging methods
· Understanding sound and/or light propagation in tissues and ability to build and analyze mathematical models
· Excellent analytical and strong programming skills and experience with Matlab, Labview, FEM etc.
· Good command of English
