We are the group of gene regulation. We study the regulation of gene expression in mouse models to better understand molecular mechanisms that underlie human diseases and for basic research. The integration of molecular data from gene transcripts, miRNAs, proteins, over metabolites to systemic phenotypes and more recently envirotypes presents a currently important and highly relevant challenge that we address. In future, we want to research the mechanisms of epigenetic inheritance of metabolic diseases such as diabetes using the mouse as model.
