Institute of Diabetes Research and Metabolic Diseases of Helmholtz Zentrum München at the University of Tübingen (IDM)

The primary research objective of the research groups in the Institute of Diabetes Research and Metabolic Diseases is the individual prediction of diabetes risk as well as diabetes prevention and the personalized treatment of diabetes. The main research emphasis is on gene-environment interaction in type 2 diabetes.


The research activities of the Institute focus on:
•    Prevention and therapy of type 2 diabetes
•    Pathophysiology of prediabetes
•    Behavioral neurobiology and metabolism
