SECOTOX 2000 - 2002

1. Year 2000: 7th Regional Meeting of the Central and East European Section of SECOTOX, Bratislava, Slovakia, 25-27 September, 2000 (Organized by Institute of Preventive and Clinical Medicine and VUCHT a.s. Bratislava)- well advanced
   Main topic: Advances and Progress in Ecotoxicology in Central and East European Countries in Context with Human Health (from Gosen Conference 1991 till 2000)
   
   
2. Year 2001: Regional meeting of the Mediterranean Section of SECOTOX entitled : Ecotoxicology and Chemical Safety in the Mediterranean Region", to be held 25-28 April, 2001 in Menorca (Spain). Organizer Dr. Damia Barcelo in cooperation with prof. Dr. P.-D.Hansen, Technische Universitat Berlin, Department of Ecotoxicology, Keplerstrasse 4-6, D-10589 Berlin
   This Conference has been consulted by Prof. A.F.Kettrup. Current status is unknown to me. Prof. Hansen have not responded to my request sent to him on April 18, 2000, up to now. I guess, Prof. A. Kettrup should have taken a responsibility and pay more attention to this event, as he has firmly insisted on Dr. Damia Barcelo and Prof. Hansen to be the Organizers.
   
   
3. Year 2001: ALL-SECOTOX Conference entitled: "Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety on the Verge of Millennium: Trends, Threats and Challenges", to be held in Krakow, Poland, 28-31 August, 2001
   Organizer: Polish Academy of Sciences, Institute of Environmental Engineering in Zabrze, in Co-operation with the University of Mining and metallurgy and Jagiellonian University in Cracow (Krakow), Poland. Current status: Preparations have just started. I Circular will be issued by October, 2000.
   
   
4. Year 2001: Regional Conference of Asia and Pacific Region, to be held in Bhubaneswar (Orissa), India, 27-30 November, 2001.
   Organizer: Regional Research Laboratory (CSIR) in Bhubaneswar (Dr.R.P.Das) in co-operation with Central Fuel Research Institute (CFRI-CSIR) and Central Mining Research Institute (CMRI-CSIR), Dhanbad (Bihar), India. Current status: Well advanced. First circular to be issued by September, 2000.
   
   
5. Year 2001: 8th Regional Meeting of the Central and East European section of SECOTOX (CEERS-SECOTOX) - planned to be organized in Moscow, Lomonosow University (Prof. G. Motuzova) Details to be discussed during 7th CEERS-SECOTOX.
   
   
6. Year 2002: 9th Regional Meeting of the Central and East European Section of SECOTOX (CEERS-SECOTOX) - to be organized in Brno (Czech Republic). Organizer: Masaryk University and RECETOX-TOCOEN (Prof. Ivan Holoubek. Exact term and topic to be discussed during 7th CEERS-SECOTOX.
