Research interests:

I am interested in ultra-high resolution tools to unravel the chemical space of a given sample as comprehensive as possible followed by data elaboration techniques to retrieve meaningful information. Inspired by the concept of data-driven discovery (e.g. applied in non-targeted metabolomics) and my pharmaceutical background, I am currently focusing on the application of ultra-high resolution tools for in-depth characterization, isolation and structure identification of novel bioactive natural products. This multidisciplinary pursuit of novel compounds includes method/tool development of ICR/FT-MS and UPLC-MS, integrative and comparative data elaboration, biostatistics and experimental design.
