TOPIC III Aerosol Physics Staff

Dr. Sara Padoan

Sara Padoan acquired a postdoc position at the Universität der Bundeswehr München in a new intensive cooperation with the Cooperation Group CMA, since October 2018.

She obtained her BSc. Degree in Chemistry and Chemistry of Materials  at the University of Bologna (2013) and her MSc. Degree in Chemistry and Sustainable Technologies at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (2015). Along the way she was determining toxic metals in cosmetics via analytical voltammetry and ionic compounds in Antarctic aerosol samples by IC-MS.

Prior to her appointment at CMA, Sara Padoan did her PhD in the field of Environmental Sciences at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice focusing on natural and anthropogenic impacts on environmental markers in remote areas and urban sites. She is going to successfully defend her work at the beginning of 2019.

In her current work, Sara is focusing on brake and tyre emissions through lab experiments using scale reproduction especially built at the Universität der Bundeswehr. Later on, in collaboration with CMA  there will be the installation of a sampling system, followed by ICP-MS characterization.
