What is DosiNet?

DosiNet is a customer software developed for the Official Personal Dosimeter Service Munich for the online data processing of your personal dosimetry. It offers the possibility of simplifying the necessary exchange of information between customers and the Personal Dosimeter Service by increasing transparency. Thus, for example, the information about which of your employees has worn a particular dosimeter will be reported on this platform directly to the central management system of the Personal Dosimeter Service, where these data are processed directly and without any delay.

What can I edit in DosiNet?

Some examples of DosiNet applications are listed below:

  • Real-time access to your data within the management system of the Personal Dosimeter Service. 
  • Registration of new people for monitoring purposes as well as cancellation of registration.
  • Modification of personnel master data (e.g. name changes, changes of monitoring purposes, information on the occupational category and type of radiation).
  •  Assign the dosimeters to individuals. 
  • Perform relevant changes of the application area. 
  • Change of site master data. 

How can I use DosiNet?

DosiNet is accessible only to customers authorized by the Personal Dosimeter Service. Upon written application you will obtain an individual account. Your password and your user ID will be sent to you via postal mail. The password can be changed at any time after the initial registration. The software required to complete the access procedure is available for free download at:  www.dosinet.de.

How much does the use of DosiNet cost?

The basic version of DosiNet contains all the necessary features for the online data processing of your personal dosimetry. This is provided to the customer by the Personal Dosimeter Service free of charge.

What binding obligations will the DosiNet users assume?

The data processed by the customer on DosiNet are the basis for the proper personal dose monitoring. The customer is obliged to maintain the data conscientiously and on his own responsibility. Therefore, the data exchange with the Personal Dosimeter Service has to be performed regularly, in due time and completely. The Personal Dosimeter Service does not verify the accuracy of the data. The data, as entered by the customer, are further processed. The customer’s duty to data update and maintenance includes especially:

  • Registration as well as cancellation of registration of the monitored persons.
  • Modification of personnel master data (e.g. name changes, changes of monitoring purposes, information on the occupational category and type of radiation).
  • Assign the dosimeters to individuals.
  • Perform relevant changes of the application area.
  • Change of site master data.
  • The Personal Dosimeter Service reserves the right to block customer's access to DosiNet in case of misuse or improper use.

As a DosiNet user, do I have to back up the data in a specific way?

On its own, DosiNet does not store data from the management system on the customer’s computer on which DosiNet is running. A special backup of the computer or the program is not necessary. The data are centrally stored in the management system of the Personal Dosimeter Service.

Do I need to be certified in order to use DosiNet?

No. A certification is not required for DosiNet.

Do I need administrator rights to install DosiNet?

No. For the installation of DosiNet no administrator permissions are required.

What internet speed is recommended for DosiNet?

For a smooth working with DosiNet, a possibly higher internet speed than 64 kbit (ISDN), ideally DSL speed is recommended.

As a DosiNet user, will I continue receiving evaluation results in hard copy?

Yes. You will continue receiving evaluation results regularly in hard copy for your records.
