About the Center

We are a research institution of the federal government and the Free State of Bavaria. Most of our facilities are located on our central campus in Neuherberg in the north of Munich. We are a leading research center in research for environment related diseases. Our goal is to develop personalized medical solutions for the prevention and therapy for environmentally triggered diseases.

 

As a member of the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres, we are part of the largest German scientific organisation. With its research, the Helmholtz Association contributes to solving the major future issues of our society in important areas such as energy, transport, technologies, health and the environment.
