Research focus of the IEM

  • Welcome on the website of the Institute of Environmental Medicine (IEM)!
    The IEM, under the guidance of Director and Professor Claudia Traidl-Hoffmann, MD, has the focus on basic and translational research within the scope of environment-human interaction and the main emphasis on allergic diseases. At the moment, research is conducted by six research fields: Aerobiology, Clinical Research, Microbiology, Translational Immunology, Environmental Immunolgy, and Environmental Bioinformatics. The goal is always to prevent chronic environmental diseases, to enable the right diagnosis, and to provide sustainable therapies.
