About us:

  • The Institute of Radiation Protection develops fundamental principles for recording vocational, medical and environmental radiation exposures, analyses the radiation risks for cancer and cardiovascular diseases and runs radiation protection professional development courses. The aim is to improve our understanding of radiation effects through innovative methods and to help to optimise radiation applications in industry and medicine. The ISS is part of the Department of Radiation Sciences (DRS).
