Junior Research Groups

Perspectives for Young Scientists

With its junior research groups Helmholtz Zentrum München offers excellent young scientists an important opportunity on their career ladder: as head of a junior research group with tenure option they can run their own working groups at an early stage and engage in independent research.

Both sides benefit from these groups: The Helmholtz Zentrum München gains excellent scientists and scientific know-how, while the scientists find a good working environment in which they can distinguish themselves for their future professional career.
