Research Interests

My research interests lie in the field of environmental epidemiology with special regard to climate change and its impacts on human health. I am particularly keen on the investigation of human exposure to air temperature, air pollution as well as to their combination. I am also interested in advanced statistical applications on this field. My current research work focus on the effects of exposure to air temperature on cardio-metabolic function, cognitive function as well as on mental health within the context of HI-CAM (Helmholtz-Initiative Climate Adaptation and Mitigation: two sides of the same Coin) project, an Initiative of the Helmholtz Association.
