Alessia Mafodda received Young Scientist Award

Alessia Mafodda, RS2 graduate student at the Institute of Radiation Medicine, received a Young Scientist Award for her talk at the 19th Solid State Dosimetry Conference in Hiroshima, Japan. Alessia works in the group “Integrative Modelling” headed by Dr. Jan Christian Kaiser. Alessia Mafodda presented her research on the characterization of two applications that enable dose-rate measurements with an ordinary smartphone, using the CMOS sensor of the build-in camera as a radiation detector.
