Short CV

I studied Mathematics in Bioscience at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences (BSc) and Technical University Munich (MSc) from 2008 till 2014 and afterwards started my PhD at Technical University Munich (M12: Chair of Mathematical Modeling of Biological Systems) in close collaboration with the Institute of Computational Biology.


Current research

  • mechanistic mathematical modelling of cell differentiation processes in close collaboration with clinicians and biologists about:
    • neurogenesis in adult mice 
    • healthy and diseased human hematopoiesis
  • methods include:
    • model design and specification (stochastic and deterministic models)
    • parameter estimation and identifiability
    • model selection/ comparison/ averaging
    • model validation and prediction
