About Me

I did my BSc in Mathematics with minor subject Computer Sciences 2012-2015 and my MSc in Mathematics 2015-2017 at Bielefeld University, with an exchange at Stockholm University. In August 2017, I started as a PhD student at TUM and ICB.

Current Research

Mainly, I develop mathematical and computational methods for parameter estimation:

  • optimization for differential equation models (derivative-free methods, hybrid global-local methods, higher-order derivative-based methods, hierarchical optimization using adjoint sensitivity analysis)
  • likelihood-free inference via Approximate Bayesian Computation (weighting of different data types, noise assessment, scalability)
