Lukas Simon receives Marie-Curie Fellowship

Dr. Lukas Simon, Postdoc in the research group Machine Learning receives a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship, a very prestigious distinction aimed to 'support the best, most promising individual researchers'. Within the proposed project he focuses on the study of gene expression in human platelets. Plateletes are an important component of the blood and traditionally known for their role in hemostasis. The goal of this project is to get an unprecedented view of gene expression heterogeneity by profiling platelets using single cell RNA-sequencing technology.
