ICB- Helmholtz AI part of the prestigious Helmholtz International Grant

We are very happy and thrilled to announce that one Helmholtz International Lab, called "Learning causal models in single cell causal dynamics has been awarded to ICB. The team consists of Fabian Theis, Maria Colomé-Tatché, Annalisa Marsico, Niki Kilbertus, and Benjamin Schubert (ICB-Helmholtz AI); Yoshua Bengio, Joseph Paul Cohen, Matthieu Blanchette (Mila- Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute (Mila)); and Bernhard Schölkopf (MPI Tübingen) who are international experts in Machine Learning and Computational Biology.

The project aims  to develop robust causal models in high dimensions,  learn deep representations of cell ensembles in response to perturbations add biological priors. The project is further envisioned to explore and interpret resulting trained models using experimental data such as epigenomics.

Congratulations team!
