Project Description

My project is focused on understanding:

  • the pathways and mechanisms of the development,
  • degeneration and regeneration of insulin-producing beta cells; analysis of the planar cell polarity gene Flattop
  • the influence of metabolic signal transduction on the degeneration and regeneration of beta cells
