Our group of Molecular Endocrinology is interested in processes regulating cell proliferation and differentiation by steroids and lipids as well as in the metabolic pathways of steroids and lipids. We also perform research on the influence of environmental chemicals (endocrine disruptors) on reproduction, obesity development, and carcinogenesis, drug development for steroid metabolism pathways, and the impact of DNA-variants on gene functionality. Our group is participating in the research on the molecular basis of metabolic diseases (diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular disorders) and development of targeted inhibitors for involved metabolic pathways.
