Rita Costa, a fourth year PhD candidate in Melanie Königshoff’s group, received an honorable mention for her oral presentation entitled “Drug repurposing for Wnt/beta-catenin induced lung repair in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease”. She presented at the Gordon Research Seminar on Lung Development, Injury and Repair held on the 3rd and 4th of August at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, United States. The Gordon Research Seminar takes place every two years before the Gordon Research Conference and is a unique forum for graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, junior faculty, and other scientists to present and exchange new data and cutting-edge ideas. This year’s edition had 39 participants, and only 11 were invited to give oral presentations.
