Pamela has been working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at COMI since July 2023. Her work is framed into the EU project MICROBE, MICRObiome Biobanking (RI) Enabler, which aim to develop strategies for the establishment of innovative microbiome biobanking infrastructure. Pamela is using bioinformatic tools to identify “microbial keystone taxa” from complex environmental samples, based on novel ecological concepts these relevant taxa can be targeted for isolation to assemble representative synthetic consortia.
